One of the aims of the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation is to support seriously ill children and adolescents as well as measures to improve their health.

The Schneider Children's Medical Center is one of the leading children's hospitals in Israel with its extensive range of paediatric medicine services. Many children not only miss school classes during the treatment phase, they are also torn out of their usual social and emotional environment. The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation will open an educational and recreation room at the Department of Surgery in order to make it easier for the children to stay.

By creating this space, the children will be able to receive further school attendance by qualified teachers during their treatment phase. At the same time, the possibilities of recreational activities for young patients are being expanded: the children and adolescents in the new room will be cared for by specially trained clowns as well as music and art therapists. With the construction of the new education and recreation room, Tränchen Trocknen pursues the goal of making the everyday life of the young patients during their stay in the clinic a little more pleasant and not to lose sight of the children's school education.
