The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation supported the expansion of treatment rooms in cooperation with Life Gate.

Life Gate's new building was opened in June and includes a special school for 40 handicapped children and a kindergarten where methods of occupational therapy, speech therapy and music therapy are employed. Additionally, training and employment are offered to handicapped people within the area.

The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation supported the interior construction of the 2nd floor providing therapeutic equipment for the four treatment rooms.
Incentive measures and educational programs are not supported by the public sector. Therefore the children and adolescents with physical and mental disabilities are given opportunities to lead independent lives.

The domestic situation and collaboration by parents are integrated into the program. The support of Life Gate actively reaches the community. Apart from this great support, bridges are built between people with Palestinian children being treated in Israeli hospitals, for example.

The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation supported complete expansion of the therapy rooms.
Among others, the following building activities could be supported

  • Installation of the windowsills and doorsills,
  • Installation of the electrical pipelines,
  • Installation of the water pipes (washbasins and sprinkler system),
  • Parquet flooring in the treatment rooms

Since March 2013, many different therapies have been conducted in the areas of physiotherapy-, ergotherapy- and speech therapy.
