RESTORATION AND ASSESSMENT FOR A CHILDREN'S PLAYGROUND IN ISRAEL
The Regine Sixt Children´s Aid Foundation supported in cooperation with the Jerusalem Foundation Deutschland the renovation of a children´s playground in Hanotrim.
It is attended by children aged between three and five years. All of them come from disadvantaged backgrounds; many of them are children of immigrants. In this kindergarten, the children are taken care of until the afternoon and receive a free lunch. The long school day makes it easier for parents to pursue regular jobs.
Due to the urgent disrepair, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation collaborated with the Jerusalem Foundation to support extensive renovation and enhancement of the outdoor area of the kindergarten.
This included appropriate landscaping, new flooring and new playground equipment. Since its completion in 2011, the children have been able to use the facilities of the kindergarten again.
