In the south of Chicago, two nuns built a women's shelter, saving countless women and mothers and their children from misery. Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation has donated a playground to the children living there in order to give them back a piece of joie de vivre. The implementation took place in cooperation with Monsignor Prof. Dr. Schmitz of the Institut Christus König.

Learning for a good life.

Excerpts from the nuns’ thank-you letter to Mrs. Regine Sixt:
" Dear Mrs. Sixt,
... I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your most generous gift to our children. ...
We, at St. Marin de Porres, love our children very much. They have had a lot of sadness in their lives, but since they have lived here, life is so much better for them. This makes me so happy to know that God's "little people" can safely enjoy their playtime here. Again, I thank you for your more than generous donation and may God continue to bless you and your family as you have so graciously blessed us.

Sincerely, Sister Therese O'Sullivan. "
