Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation and Turkish Airlines help earthquake victims in Turkey.

1,700 sleeping bags for children in need through the appeal for donations from SIXT employees in Germany and Turkey.

Once again, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation 'Drying Little tears' has provided quick and unbureaucratic help in the event of a catastrophe and supported numerous children affected by the earthquake in Turkey. The employees of SIXT in Germany and the SIXT partner country Turkey immediately called for a fundraising campaign when facing the big need.

The Regine Sixt Children's Relief Foundation has now sent 1,700 sleeping bags to the children in the crisis area and received support from Turkish Airlines for the project. The airline is a long-standing cooperation partner of SIXT and transported the aid free of charge to the Turkish city of Erzurum. Sixt Turkey will hand over the sleeping bags there to the Red Crescent aid organisation, which will take these children in need to the crisis area. SIXT employee Esra Konya, co-initiator of the donation project:

The earthquake in October brought hardship and destruction to parts of Turkey. Such disasters particularly affect children who depend on our help. I am very pleased that, with the help of our colleagues in Germany and Turkey as well as the generous support of Turkish Airlines, we can now make a contribution to helping the children.
