The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation and the BUSINESS TRAVELLER support a children's home in a joint project and in cooperation with Malteser International

Update: The Blessed Gérard Children's Home in Mandeni, South Africa has now been completely refurbished - with the support of the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation, together with Germany's largest business travel magazine BusinessTraveller.

The Care Center is located in Mandeni, 100 km north of Durban, and is the largest care, health and hospice center of South Africa that cares for AIDS victims in particular. The establishment of the Blessed Gérard's Care Center is based on the motivation of the Bavarian priest Father Gerhard Lagleder to effect something in the area of healthcare. Part of the center is a children's home and a kindergarten - always crowded with sick, neglected, abused, malnourished or orphaned children. Currently, the kindergarten cares for 68 children.

On the occasion of the BUSINESS TRAVELLER AWARD 2013 at the Westhafen Pier in Frankfurt, Regine Sixt was honored with the BUSINESS TRAVELLER CHARITY AWARD. With the awards ceremony, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation and the BUSINESS TRAVELLER established a media cooperation for the good cause that is now strengthened by this joint project.
